Cams.com is excited to participate in the Latin American Adult Expo this year in beautiful Cartagena, Colombia. Last year Cams.com used the LAL Expo in Medellin as the beginning of our rebirth as a company! For 2016 we have made a new commitment to Latin America and Colombian models and traffic. We have also made huge improvements to the model experience, member experience and affiliate experience. These changes are already bringing more profits to our partners and models!

This year we will have a full team of Cams.com experts to answer any questions you may have. Ruben Rodriguez is nominated for LAL Expo “Best Industry Representative!” If you have any affiliate or business development questions, he will show you why he was nominated for this prestigious award. Make sure to ask him all about his dogs. Steve Hamilton is our Model Manager. He can answer any and all questions related to the model and studio experience on Cams.com. He was also nominated for “Best Content Producer or Provider” for his video work with studios in Colombia, so he loves to talk video. Scott Thompson, our Director of Product Marketing, will also be on hand to talk about the direction of the Cams.com product. He is an avid surfer, so if he’s not at the booth, he’s likely trying to catch a wave on the beach. We will have models at the booth as well, because it’s LAL and we’re Cams.com!

Since you saw us last year we have rolled out many new advances including: Tipping Mode, Buzzmode, Connexions, Tokens, and Cams.com Model of the Year. Ask us about the MANY more new advances that we are working on to improve how models can monetize their time both online and when they are away from the computer!

Overall, Cams.com, AdultFriendFinder and our exclusive Cam models are nominated for 9 awards. So if you can’t come visit us at LAL, you can still vote for us at: http://awards.lalexpo.com/.

Feel free to contact us at [email protected] to set up meetings with our team at the show.  We hope to see you there!

The Creator of the First Online Dating Site Is Still Dating Online

Andrew Conru, Founder of FriendFinder Networks, is highlighted in a feature article by New York Times reporter Nadja Sayej.  Conru describes how he started Web Personals (arguably the first online dating site ever) in 1993 while doing his doctorate at Stanford University. After running Web Personals for about a year, he “didn’t know any better” and sold it to Telepersonals for $100,000. Soon after he got out of the non-compete, he started another dating website, FriendFinder.com, in 1996. The rest is History as they say!
